Our Journey

How It All Started

We started yaltivo Ltd because we noticed something missing in Ireland's dance scene. There's this assumption that social dancing is for the young or for people with years of experience. That's just not true. We've seen incredible things happen when adults 45 and older discover they can dance — and that they're genuinely good at it.

Dublin's bachata scene was growing, Galway had passionate salsa enthusiasts scattered across the city, but there wasn't one place bringing everything together. No guides, no real community structure, no way for beginners to find welcoming events. So we decided to change that. We've built something real — guides on what's happening each week, introductions to dance communities that actually want new members, and events specifically designed for people starting out.

It's not complicated. We believe you're never too old to learn to dance, and you shouldn't have to search for months just to find a beginner-friendly night in your city.
